By Monica Wepking, Editor Ryan Cooney and Dale Svatos, football players at Andes Central, were recognized by the South Dakota Football Coaches Association as Academic All-State Football Players. To be honored, a senior must have a 3.5 grade-point average or higher, and have participated for at least three years. Other area players/managers that made the team were Bryant Soulek, Tait Johannsen, Dackery Geiman, Jilanne Doom, Courtney Krcil and Keaya Weber of Wagner; Danny Baier, Michael Nour, Michael Mingo, and Amanda Horn of Tripp-Delmont-Armour; Anthony Dyk, Josh DeWaard, Alexandra Hirt, and Kayla Zanter of Platte-Geddes-Dakota Christian; and Ryan Hauck of Avon.
