The Andes Central National Honor Society will start collecting toys and clothing in October for Christmas presents for children in the community. On December 11, the Andes National Honor Society will deliver the toys and clothing to the Social Services building in Lake Andes. The Department of Social Services will deliver the presents to children in the community. Kristi Wagner, head supervisor of (CPS) Child Protection Services stated "of all the clothing & toy gifts that we receive the National Honor Society of Andes Central ranks at the top in what they have collected. They give more than any other school in the county and the surrounding area, Mr. Krull we are so proud of your students and what they do for our community. They are outstanding!!! Not only do they collect toys for the children in the community, they provide clothing for people who have none." The 2009-2010 National Honor Society members are: Ryan Cooney, Janie Konyek, Joey McKeegan, Cody Snyder, Dale Svatos, Jared Swanson, Angelia Tronvold, Patrisse Vasek, Travis Bechen, Araya Cournoyer, Colter Florey, Cass Hazuka, Brieanne Johnson, Chrisy Pavel, Grant Petrik and Jenna Winckler. Mr. Dave Krull, counselor at Andes Central High, is the advisor for the chapter.
