On Sunday, August 2, a commissioning ceremony was held during the 11:00 AM church service at the First Lutheran Church in Lake Andes. Almon Adam has volunteered to conduct the Sunday morning devotions at the Wagner Good Samaritan Center for many years. The council of the First Lutheran Church of Lake Andes, (Almon's home church,) acknowledge his calling to do the Lord's service as a valuable outreach ministry of the church. After a renewal of his baptismal vows and statement of ministry vows, Pastor Tim Harmon commissioned Almon as a lay minister to the people at the Wagner Good Samaritan Center on behalf of the First Lutheran Church.
